Leak detection against damage

Customized solutions for 25 years

Cadis has been building, selling, servicing and managing preventive leak detection systems since 1996. No liquid is foreign to us: water, oil, chemicals, coolants, solvents, radioactive isotopes, etc.

We design and build the appropriate solution for every application, whether it is double-walled underground pipelines, tanks, technical rooms, operation rooms or data centers.

Leak detection system

A leak detection system always consists of:

  • Sensors: a combination of cables and probes
  • Alarm module: device that reads sensors and communicates detections
  • Accessories: mounting clips, position labels and other parts that facilitate the system

Our experts can custom design this for your application and our technicians will take care of the entire installation and inspection.

Operating principle

When detecting water, a leak detection cable will change electrical resistance. This difference is measured by an alarm module, which calculates the location of detection on the cable.

Cables are more suitable when for larger areas to be protected and are enormously flexible in their options. For example, cables can be placed on the floor, built into an insulation sleeve, attached at the bottom of a pipe, etc….

Probes work in a similar way, but only measure a single point. They are more budget-friendly, but also more robust in difficult environments where there is a lot of dust and moisture in the environment.

Many applications

Detecting a leak early can avoid or significantly contain major damage.

Water leak detection is essential in locations where water damage can have critical consequences, such as:

  • Data centers and server rooms
  • Technical rooms
  • Pipes and plumbing
  • Storage tanks
  • Archives and museums

Detection of liquids other than water, such as fuel, acids, glycol or chemicals are often seen in:

  • Semiconductor industry
  • Pharmaceutical industry
  • Food Industry
  • Chemical industry
